Best Remote Control Helicopter With Camera

A remote control helicopter with a camera can be really great for many different reasons. Mabey you want to be able to see where it’s flying in real-time, make a cool-looking video from up in the air, easily view the roof of your house, or anything else you can think of. The possibilities are endless!

Unfortunately, RC helicopters with cameras are actually quite hard to come by. If you do some searching around online you will find plenty of drones with cameras. But if you want a remote control helicopter with a camera, your options are going to be a bit more limited.

But luckily, I’ve managed to find quite a good RC helicopter that has a built in camera that streams video directly to your smartphone! This helicopter is the Cheerwing U12S Mini RC Helicopter and you can buy it here on Amazon.

After all my research, this seems to be the only RC helicopter I can find that has a built in camera. And it’s a pretty good helicopter that has really all the regular features that you’d want which I’ll get to in a moment.

But what really sets this one apart from the competition is it’s built in camera that can send video footage down to your smartphone in real-time. All you have to do is install the free app on your phone, pair the helicopter with your phone via Wifi, and then whatever the camera sees will start showing on your phone’s screen.

Then, once it’s in the air, you can press the record button on the back of the remote and your phone will start recording the camera footage. Or you can press the photo button to take a picture.

Aside from the camera, the remote has nice simple controls making it quite simple and beginner-friendly to fly, so even if you’ve never flown an RC helicopter before, you should be able to pick it up fairly quickly after a bit of practice.

And it also has a feature called “One Button Take Off/Landing” which means you can take off and land with just the press of a button which is great for beginners as landing and taking off manually can be a bit difficult to master when you’re just getting started.

It also has “Altitude Hold Mode” which means you can set it to hover at a specific height while your hands are off the controls. This feature is really helpful if you want to use the camera to capture a steady video of something specific.

It can fly for about 5-6 minutes on a full charge. Which isn’t extremely long, but it’s still a fairly decent amount of time and it’s more than long enough to quickly fly up and film something or take some pictures.

If you’re flying and the battery does start to go flat, it has a “Low Battery Alarm” that will start beeping and make your phone start vibrating so that you have time to safely land it before it completely runs out of power.

And it also has an out of range alarm that will start beeping to warn you if you’re about to fly it out of range of the controller.

The built in camera isn’t exactly professional photographer grade quality (if you want a high-quality camera you’ll be better off with a drone like this one), but the results look reasonably good and it’ll be perfect if you just want to have a bit of fun making cool videos, or perhaps fly it up to look at your roof if you think something might be damaged.

So while it would be nice to see some more remote control helicopters with cameras to give this one some competition, this is still a great, easy to use RC helicopter with a decent camera, and if you get it, you won’t be disappointed.
